Why did Rowdy tell Junior "you killed ur sister"? is there any truth in that?
Rowdy told Arnold “You killed her” (211 Alexie) after Junior’s sister died. Junior’s sister died because she was drunk and passed out, and her trailer got caught on fire. There are some truth to the situation when Rowdy told Junior that his sister died because of him, because if Junior didn't leave the rez, then his sister would of stayed in the basement instead of running away. On the second day, Junior went to school because if he knew that if he stayed home then all day he would be hearing stories about Mary, and all day he would be thinking “Yeah, but have you ever heard the story about how I killed my sister when I left the rez?” (Alexie 211) Which means that Junior believed Rowdy about he killed his own sister.

I agree that their is some truth to Arnold “killing his sister” after all he is what drove her away. However I don’t believe that it was entirely Arnold’s fault. He did drive her away, but ultimately she was the one to actually leave. And she was the one to throw the party and get drunk. Even though Junior started her chain of events you could trace it back even farther. You could blame Mr. P for advising him to go to Reardan. I believe that overall she made the decision to leave.
